Diesel vehicles of 3.5 tons or more and 3.5 tons or less implement State IV in 2012 and 2013

When the implementation of commercial vehicle IV finally settled. The IV standard for diesel vehicles over 3.5 tons that was originally scheduled to be implemented on January 1, 2010 was postponed for two years; the diesel vehicles below 3.5 tons were postponed for three years, and the national IV standard was implemented on July 1, 2013.

On December 21, 2010, the General Office of the Ministry of Environmental Protection issued the "Replied to the Implementation Date of the Fourth Phase of the National Motor Vehicle Emission Standards", and adjusted the implementation date of the National IV Standard for motor vehicles.

Due to oil products, costs, technology and other reasons, commercial vehicle IV was not implemented as originally scheduled, but there has been no formal official notification of delay. Nowadays, the boots that hang on top of commercial vehicle companies have finally come to an end, and commercial vehicle companies can arrange production and organize supply accordingly.

According to the notice, the vehicle's compression ignition engine (ie, diesel engine for vehicles) and the vehicle are tentatively postponed for one year to implement the national IV standard. That is, from January 1, 2012, any new compression-ignition vehicle (that is, a diesel vehicle) that does not meet the requirements of the National IV Standard shall not be sold or registered; a new compression-ignition engine that does not meet the requirements of the National IV Standard shall not be sold or used. .

In addition to the above models, other models specified in the “Limits and Measurement Methods for Vehicle Exhaust Pollutants for Vehicle Compression Ignition, Gaseous Fuel Ignition Engines and Vehicles (China III, IV, V Phase)” (GB17691-2005) Such as CNG and LNG vehicles, will implement the national IV standard on time. From January 1, 2011, all gas ignition engines and vehicles for vehicles that do not meet the requirements of the National IV Standard shall not be sold or registered.

For light diesel vehicles below 3.5 tons, the implementation of national IV standards is tentatively postponed for two years. That is, starting from July 1, 2013, all light diesel vehicles that do not meet the requirements of the National IV Standard shall not be sold or registered.

Relevant sources said that because of the limited space of light diesel vehicles below 3.5 tons, it is difficult to use the SCR that has a higher tolerance to sulfur in the subsequent treatment system, and only EGR+DOC can be used for post-processing. In the implementation of State III, light diesel vehicles below 3.5 tons have also been delayed for two years due to technical upgrading.

Except for light diesel vehicles, other models specified in the “Limits and Measurement Methods for Light Vehicle Pollutant Emissions (China III, IV Phase)” (GB18352.3-2005) implement the National IV standard on time. That is, starting from July 1, 2011, all light-duty gasoline vehicles, single-gas fuel vehicles, and dual-use fuel vehicles that do not meet the requirements of the National IV Standard shall not be sold or registered.
