According to Optimarin, 2016 is a year of market prosperity. Optimarin has confirmed orders for ballast water treatment systems for 10 tankers at Atlantis Tankers and 9 tankers from the Pacific Shipbuilding Group, while the company has also entered the fishing boat market for the first time. The recently awarded British Carisbrooke contract is the largest contract to convert ballast water treatment systems for 46 bulk carriers and multi-purpose vessels.
Together with its global engineering partners Goltens and Zeppelin, Optimarin has installed more than 70 ballast water treatment systems on existing ships and will install more than 200 ballast water treatment systems for newbuildings. The company's flexible, modular ballast water treatment system is ideal for most ships with limited space.
It is reported that the company's ballast water treatment system has been certified by DNV GL, French Bureau of Shipping, Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the American Bureau of Shipping, as well as the International Maritime Organization. The recently passed US Coast Guard trial has taken its business to a new level.
Optimarin's users include Norway Saga Shipholding, Merchant Marine Mitsui, Grieg Shipping Group, Gulf Offshore, Farstad Shipping, Nippon Yusen, Nor Line Shipping and Evergreen Marine Group. Its OBS ballast water treatment system is easy to install, simple to maintain (no moving parts), and does not emit or emit any chemicals.

IR Viewing Card

IR Laser viewing cards convert infrared radiation to visible radiation providing a visual image of infrared light. The cards consist of an infrared phosphor material which stores the energy from conventional light sources (e.g. indoor room lighting, sunlight). As incident infrared light stimulates the phosphor, the stored energy is released in the form of visible light.Hand-held infrared viewers are ideal for observation and alignment, of Laser beams with wavelengths between 800 and 1550 nm. The viewer delivers a bright, high-contrast image with edge-to-edge sharpness.
