The Tapered Roller Bearing belongs to the separation type bearing, and the inner and outer rings of the bearing have a conical raceway. This type of bearing is divided into single, double and four row tapered Roller Bearing according to the number of the roller. The single row Tapered Roller bearing can bear the radial load and the single direction axial load. When a bearing is subjected to a radial load, an axial force will be produced, so another bearing that can withstand the axial force of the opposite direction is needed to balance it.

There is a single row tapered roller bearing outer ring, the inner ring and a conical roller by maintaining a basket frame into the inner module. The outer ring can be separated from the inner ring assembly. According to the standard of the ISO tapered roller bearing dimension, any standard type tapered roller bearing outer ring or inner ring assembly should be able to achieve international interchangeability with the same type of outer ring or inner ring assembly. For example, the outer ring of the same type should conform to the ISO492 (GB307) rule besides the external dimension and tolerance. The conical angle of the inner ring assembly and the diameter of the component cone must also comply with the relevant provisions of the interchangeability.
Usually, the conical angle of the outer raceway of the single row tapered roller bearing is between 10 degrees ~19 degrees, and it can simultaneously bear the joint action of axial load and radial load. The larger the cone angle, the greater the ability to bear the axial load. The bearing of the big cone angle, the postposition code plus the B, the cone angle between 25 degrees ~29 degrees, can bear a large axial load. In addition, the single row tapered roller bearing can adjust the size of the clearance during the installation process.
The outer ring (or inner ring) of a double row tapered roller bearing is a whole. The two inner ring (or outer ring) has similar small end faces, and the middle has a spacer. The clearance is adjusted by the thickness of the spacer, and the pre interference of double row tapered roller bearings can also be adjusted by the thickness of the spacer.
The performance of the four row tapered roller bearing is basically the same as that of the double row tapered roller bearing, but the radial load of the double row tapered roller bearing is greater than that of the double row tapered roller bearing, and the limit speed is slightly lower, which is mainly used for heavy machinery.
