Currently, it is still in a downward range, but the downward range has significantly narrowed and the operation has become more stable. At the same time, new orders for enterprises continue to be in a downward trend. The confidence of domestic machine tool manufacturers has been hit, and many people have been confused about the future.

Luo Bahui, chief researcher of Jinmo.com pointed out that the global economic rebalancing and the slowdown of China's economic growth have had a comprehensive and profound impact on the Chinese machine tool industry. After experiencing rapid growth for more than 10 consecutive years, due to the significant changes in the market environment and other growth factors, the industry is facing and undergoing a severe test of adjustment and transformation.

Under the background of the slowdown in China's economic growth, China's machine tool market has undergone significant changes. Its outstanding characteristics are manifested in two aspects, namely, the obvious reduction in total demand and the accelerated upgrading of demand structure.

In the first half of this year, China's total import of metal processing machine tools was US$5.26 billion, a decrease of about 17% year-on-year, and the magnitude of the decline was very rare, reflecting the sluggish demand for total machine tool market in China. At the same time, the number of high-end machine tools that Germany, Italy, and the United States exported to China in the first half of the year has maintained a substantial increase.
