1. The advantage is that the measurement accuracy is high and can reach the measuring technical indicators of the transmitter. The disadvantage is that the negative pressure pipeline must be absolutely sealed, and the transmitter must be moved in the range, and the error of the medium liquid in the negative pressure pipeline should be migrated during calibration. 2. Double flange means that the positive and negative pressure sides of the transmitter are flanged structures and can be directly connected to the containers and pipes to be measured. The advantage is that it is easy to install, easy to check, and does not require range migration. The disadvantage is that the measurement accuracy is not high. Due to the flexible hose connection between the flange and the transmitter, the internal should be filled with silicone oil, so there is a certain deviation from the transmission of medium pressure changes, the external temperature changes more or less some of the silicone oil Impact, so there is a certain amount of error in the measurement.

Single-flange level gauges and double-flange level gauges are hydrostatic gauge-type level gauges. So where exactly can a single flange be used, and where can a double flange be used?

The single flange level gauge measures the level of the open container. The single flange level transmitter has advanced design principles, complete specifications, and easy installation and use.

The double flange level gauge measures the liquid level of the closed container; the double flange level transmitter is composed of a differential pressure transmitter and a smart amplification board, which can constitute an intelligent remote transmission pressure and differential pressure transmitter. The HART compliant communicator can communicate with each other for setting and monitoring.

The level transmitter is a simple and reliable measuring instrument for measuring the liquid level in the tank. It uses the principle of P=ρgh to measure the differential pressure to measure the liquid level. The level of the liquid level is proportional to the differential pressure measured by the liquid level transmitter. The process connection of the liquid level transmitter is usually a diaphragm flange type, and the diaphragm is filled with silicone oil as a pressure transmission medium. Liquid tanks are usually divided into open tanks and pressurized tanks. The upper part of the open tanks is open to the atmosphere. The level transmitter for measuring the level of the open tanks only needs to connect the process flanges at the high pressure side and communicate with the atmosphere at the low pressure side. The pressurized tank requires the high and low pressure side of the liquid level transmitter to be connected with the diaphragm flange type to measure the pressure difference between the high and low pressure side.

Usually, the end user and the design unit will require the level transmitter package supplier to provide the supporting flange to prevent the mismatch between the matching flange on the tank and the process flange of the level transmitter during field installation. Compare the selection samples of different liquid level transmitter manufacturers to determine the flange standard, flange size, flange pressure level, and flange type.

Flange standard: There are usually three standards for the level transmitter paired flange: DIN standard, ANSI standard and Japanese standard. The most commonly used in the country is the DIN standard and the ANSI standard.

Flange size: the same level transmitter standard, specific reference to the level transmitter factory selection sample. The flange size of the liquid level transmitter is mainly 2''; 3'' and 4'', among which 3'' is the most common.

Flange pressure level: Japanese standard JIS10K and JIS20K; ANSI standard ANSI150, ANSI300, and ANSI600;

The DIN standard is DIN PN10/16; DIN PN25/40. (Note: For the 3" flange PN10 and PN16 the same size; PN25 and PN40 the same size)

Flange form: According to the different pressure levels and customer requirements, for the pressure less than 40barg, usually flat plate welding; for pressures greater than 40barg, usually with neck butt welding;

Flange material: common flange material is carbon steel, SUS304 and SUS316. The matching flange of the same material should usually be selected according to the material of the tank body.
