This type of bearing performs well in an alkaline environment but is not suitable for operation under acidic corrosive environments.

2. Corrosion-resistant plastic bearings As the most typical varieties of fluoroplastics, PTFE and PVDF are the most excellent corrosion resistance, among which PTFE is the best corrosion resistance of all known engineering plastics and can be used for all concentrated acids. And concentrated alkali occasions, including HF and fuming sulfuric acid nitric acid (above 98%), etc., and have a good high temperature performance, PTFE proved to be used at high temperatures of 180 °C, PVDF can also be used to 150 °C, but PTEF material mechanical strength is extremely low , And the poor dimensional stability, temperature deformation, compared to PVDF has better overall performance, the general choice of inner and outer ring material PTFE or PVDF, cage material is PTFE or PVDF, the ball is generally glass ball or ceramic ball.

In comparison, UPE materials have better strength. , Low friction characteristics and low temperature application characteristics (lowest to -150 °C), the general inner and outer ring materials using HDPE, PP or UPE, cage material using HDPE, PP or UPE, ball is glass ball, stainless steel ball or ceramic ball.

4.PEEK/PI plastic bearings (high temperature plastic bearings)

PEEK and PI, as emerging engineering plastics materials, have proved to be the best among all known engineering plastics in mechanical strength dimensional stability and high temperature resistance performance, in which PEEK long-term use temperature reaches 260°C and PI long-term use temperature is as high as 300°C. , And it has excellent corrosion resistance, can still run freely in medium-strength acid-base corrosion environment, it is generally used for the production of bearings that need to operate in harsh environments, the disadvantage is that the material itself is more expensive, so use The cost is relatively high. In general, PEEK or PI is used for the inner and outer ring materials, and PTFE, PEEK or PI is used as the cage material. The ball is generally a Zro2 or Si3N4 ceramic ball.

5. Plastic bearing seats and plastic spherical bearings Plastic seated bearings are light weight, easy to install, and maintenance-free. They also have shock-absorbing and shock-absorbing properties in common cast iron seats or stamping seats.
