Global auto parts supplier profits improved

According to an external report, the latest two survey reports show that the current financial status of global Auto Parts suppliers is the most healthy compared with recent years, and it is expected that the global auto parts supplier business will be more busy in 2011.

Kearney Consulting and SupplierBusiness jointly completed a survey report. The report's survey of 220 vendor executives showed that nearly two-thirds of suppliers expect 2010 revenue to increase by more than 20% from the previous year.

In the August survey report, 82% of respondents believe that orders will climb in the next 12 months. Suppliers from North America, Europe and Asia all participated in this survey, of whom 55% were Level 1 suppliers.

More than 50% of respondents expect that the number of suppliers that went bankrupt in 2011 will be greatly reduced. In the April survey report, 42% of respondents believe that at least one automaker customer will go bankrupt in the next two to three years, and only 26% of respondents in this survey think so.

Another report completed by Roland Berger International Management Consulting in the suburbs of Detroit believes that the EBIT margin of suppliers will be above 6%. The company said that high profit margins have benefited from the prosperity of the auto market in China, Brazil and India, as well as partial recovery in the North American, European and Asian markets.
